Celebrating 30yrs of life: Hockey

It been a long while since I haven't post my signature Theme post "30yrs of life".

There is 3 things in my life of Hobbies (with burning passion) that will forever have a place in my heart; Guitar, Basketball and...Hockey.

Found this yesterday in my very old folder...now who wldn't want to be in a newpaper. But despite the glamour of being in a newspaper (btw that's me in the newspaper), in this particular newspaper our college team lost to ITB by 1-0. But I will always love Hockey...

I'm not part of the national team, was only there to learn but eventually I practice with them for 3 yrs and mostly with the veteran. I was at first very intimidated, but one of the veteran player (was also my senior in college) told me just come and play, no need to practice! I was very skeptical. But eventually I realize it made my game better. Because being with the veterans it made me have to prove to them that I could play their standard of game, I work hard for it! even during practice and game play I made sure I gave more than 100% But the best part was I felt like we were all one big family and they never look down on new players...they constantly gave me advice and tips and I really listen to them. No matter how hard we train the fun was always there especially with the young "skim" players.

I would like to thank them for having me, even though I was just a "hockey drifter" (Not part of the team, just come to train and play!) they let me stay on for 3yrs and taught me the value of hard work.
Oh if you wonder why only 3yrs, well...I was exhausted! and needed a break from hockey, but eventually found my soul-mate so didn't play ever since. And I lay my hockey stick down in my room... hoping for a return!

Celebrating 30yrs in Life: I'm partially Traumatize...partially Damaged

I was in shock, didn't know what to do or how to react...but the event got me numb and breathless...each day pass as that awful day went through my memory, I suffocate (always try to comfort myself by deep breathing and just let out all the scary part in life) and had a few occassion but rare visceral pain, How I hate my Job! My favourite "siew meh" (my senior aka DC) use to say to me "life of the pt lies in our hand, and I don't want it..." It hit me than what she said is so very true...our Job is a risky job, the life of the people in your care lies in your hand, you are accountable for your mistake and action, this is something in life I wish never to have existed in the beginning.
Now at it with my Job...but ever as the day go by do I still plan and Hope to escape from my profession, one that has nothing to do with life itself is. I know I'm traumatize by it and there's no escaping and this has made me partially damaged. Looks can be so deceiving, fear is something I don't want to show but running away (it may sound cowardly) is the only option I have to free myself from this fear that hunts me to this very day. CheWah! Bolih buat Novel ni...man I still got my creativity for writing interesting stroy. hahahah maybe I'll runaway and be a writer...nah not my thang...I still perfer to be a "mind and body health and wellness officer" since I so darn-confidently good in it. Nice...in the words of silhouette kambing...

Celebrating 30yrs in Life: My Hobby is finally Complete

There comes a time when a man's life doesn't feels complete to what he needs to accomplish. But today....Damm I feel so complete. That's right buddy boy after months without any hotshoe flash I finally got one today, and boy do I ever feel so as "one", hahahaha. This picture my friend is my latest hobby; photography and my weapon is Olympus system E510 and an FL36 flashgun. I find that to have an excitement in life you need to change your hobby form time to time. I was and am never stagnant with my hobbies. From Basketball to Hiking, Hockey to Photography, From weightlifting to comic books, drawing to poetry, jogging to video game. But this time around my new hobby and toy is this E system, one things for sure, I won't go pro with this photography. Ahhhh....I feel at peace. muekekeke

Celebrating 30yrs of life: Fast Lick Solo

I have this philosophy that personality are "acquired" or "influence" by those that inspire us. Earlier post of me dunking was inspired by none other than michael jordan, who was an icon and a role model for me in life and sports. Here this is my main-main guru of all guru Yngwie Malmsteen. To me he is like the God of all shred guitar...God of speed. His skills teaches me 2 thing determination and perfection! I wanted so hard to play as fast as him that if you think a person can't sweat from playing a guitar...well I did. I forced my hand to strum so fast that you could feel heat radiating of my forearm and fingers, and when you cease playing your hand get all numb and stiff from the muscle contraction. For my teacher's day performance I trained myself 3 months in advance and a month of intensive licks before teacher's day, just constantly playing neo-classical licks yngwie style. At the end of the day...all my hard work paid-off I put the crowd in "awe and aw". The day had prove to me that if you if you want the best out of yourself...then you need to challenge yourself and not the ppl around you. Cause like my own motto "My worse enemy is my own", redefine who and what you are, it's a challenge that will uncover the many you(s') you can and will be. Salute to 30yrs of life.

Celebrating 30yrs of Life: Dunking

Ah the memories...that my friend is a rim standing at 9ft tall. You think it's easy to dunk at that height. ahahah be my guest and I will prove you wrong my friend. Of all my friend that came to play with me and are my height and taller than me I have not seen one that cld dunk it and I'm 5'ft7Inch. I not saying that I was "talented", actually it took me 1 long year to be able to dunk the ball. Playing everyday. not missing a day of practice (at my backyard). Well In Iran there was nothing for me to do, I was home school only so had all the time I ever wanted to do a lot recreational stuff. the furthest distant i had ever dunk (top picture) is probably 12ft away from the rim. Nice to brag about the old days and finally get to show it off. heheheh
