DeJa vu....

It been months last I use my Oly (almost felt like I abandon it)...feels different, smthing was totally off, but after a few minute of getting reacquainted it started to feel good again but this time round it's different. 

This time I challenge myself to only bring my 40-150mm zoom lens and you know what I really had wish I bought the 70-300mm! I am falling in love with street photography.

Previously Street photography is a big no no for me (not my thing than) but after being expose to it from my fab mags (WDC and DCW) man I wish I had bought a more "zoomer" lens.

But today experience was worth it as I head for our Maulud Nabi event for the Second time in my photography life.

Having use the zoom lens I am force to use a higher ISO (one I never done before) BUt limiting it at 400 the images are just okey with visible noise.

Speed...

THis is just an experimental

There will be a different version of this in the near future but 

with low key in mind...but first I'm still struggling to get a replacement for my 

wide angle lens.

Early bird Venture into The City Conclusion

Title: "It's time to go" I would say the above image is my favorite- I have long for something of this concept. It just interest me to get a shadow of a person walking into the light, which gives a sense of  movement into the unknown. Plus in this image manage to pull off having the shadow different than the subject as though the subject is human but the reflection shows the real him which in this case I wanted to be "alien like".

A few week ago, in one of Souljah (from stupidlogic.com) posted blog was this image os SOAS Mosque just like the this one above. I was so fascinated by it that I told him that I wld like to do the same shot, and some how I still like the one he did.

To many of us who knows about "tone mapping", well in this image I applied it in my own way without having use tone mapping software. built it from scratch from Adobe Raw to CS3. To have a picture that is like that of being process by tone map is so easy. All you have to apply is using dodge and burn, contrast and Brightness, Hue/Saturation, Selective Colour and don't forget my fab local adaptation. Of course you have to consider the "pre-postwork" in Raw. Yeah it's a lot of work just to make look like it's been tone map, but I am telling you the effort is worth it and it give the advantages of you really knowing how to use CS3 to the next level, so give it a try.

Oh, FYI. Thru out the whole shot of our morning venture I have use both my "ND and CPL FILTERS" to help that "Omph" in contrast, saturation and in making the clouds and sky stand out more... when you work with filters the result is something that editing software can't do.

While everyone was still sound asleep on sunday "dawn", me and by bud Mi, decided to go for an all early bird photography of Kg Ayer and SOAS mosque. Having woke up at 5am our effort was all worth it as we came up with our most stunning and astounding shot ever.
