There are many ways you can come up with, in your editing and knowing your way around Photoshop is utterly very important, if you want to come up with a "wow" factor images.

If you think I learn this thur other great image manipulator...you wish.

What I have learn is all from the benefit of learning by myself, books and mags.

I spent my nite and free time reading article on edting images

Inspired by great photographer, strobist and editor (i.e. Hill, Greenberg and Snipes)

But 90% of my experience comes from sitting in front of my laptop for countless of hours!

Just experimenting and learning ways to edit photos.

Jump De'Strob

One thing I learn is that when you apply strobe to your shots and later do a pre-edit in raw conversion, what adjustment you make in your raw has an a huge effect on the post editing result in photoshop. Such example are those picture below from the post "The Best of it..." until this post, I really focus on the lightings, shadow, highlight, saturation and colour to get the end result I want in photoshop. So hope you give it a try.

For this image, it was really time consuming...but thank GOd to layers (a must know ppl) cut my work short (hope that make sense ;p)

Jackal Spade

This image has been the hell of me... the first edit was good... but I felt something was off... so after many attempt of re-edting, I just got so fed-up. Hope you like it.

Spawn Like

This shot really reminded me of one of my many fab comic hero... "Spawn".

Stro'De NIte

As always Low Key/Light is my obsession and here I finally get to strobe in a low light setting, with just a few tweaks...personally I am just blown away by the result.

I just love to get the body blend in with the darkness and be one with it.

Despite the obvious gaussian blur, it's really about applying strobe. For this image we use a conventional box. The inside box was wrap in aluminum foil and covered the top with a silky cloth and this is the outcome.

Blair "nutty" witch

This is my sister... she's not literally "nutty", but being the eldest she's best in acting it, hahaha take that as a compliment ;p

Here I use my bud's D300 and SB900...you can tell where the flash is pointed at. "Siuk eh".

My Pal Helmi been having D300 and now recently SB900. THing is, he is clueless, how else to manipulate his flash. So did a few reading and he can do wireless flash. So I volunteer to set the setting for him and once I found out...

Conventional Strobist: Accomplish

Oh Yes... My very first attempt in Strobist and I do say "mission accomplish".

You know how it is, to achieve strobist you have to have the neccessary equipment, i.e. an extra flash, reflector, umbrella, a remote, a trigger etc.

Well the below shot was purely conventional style.

I can't do off camera flash, and don't have the proper equip.

But after many observation and studying found out other means to achieve strobist, didn't cost me anything and everything I use was home utilities!    

We all know Dave Hill or Jill Greenberg... THis style of concept imaging is purely and mostly inspired by Dustin Snipes, who is a master in strobing himself and have learnt a lot from him.
