Feeling it...

I told Jim (J*Squared-Link available below my Feed Link) I wld love to have this posted in my blog.
I am more drawn to the model
Everything about her is pure sense of fun, freedom and letting go...
The body gesture is just soo right here and with arms wide open...Ah... Work that arm loving it. And with the Tungsten WB.
Jim really draws in that moment in this image (not forgetting credit also goes to the model) and I am certainly feeling it.

Too much can be "over doing it"

Aggressively editing has made me understand how to create that sense of drama we all look for in our shots. I learnt that in images, "quantity affects the quality". By over doing on your editing (i.e. too much colour, contrast, too much detail) you'll lose a lot of "perspective or focus" to what you want to tell the viewers. Colors affect viewers in many ways and how you use it, makes a huge different, even the use of temperatures have it's affects. However one important key to all you young and eager image editors out there;- "less is more" and "too much destroys the natural look".

THe two images here, has different quantity of edit. The above has more natural color then below. Whilst more detail below then the above. Though they both look the same but like I say "quantity affect the quality" and it is here you know how u feel between the two. So which do you prefer best?

So go ahead explore colours, contrast, saturation, clarity, highlights, shadow... but always remember the key: "less is more".

Before I Start to say anything, I would like to inform the viewers of mine (due to the impatient of my lil sis!) that All the shot I am posting from Tungku beach is taken by my lil sis. Hope you find them interesting as I am.

I said it before I say it again, I love silhouette scene, well anything that is low key I just go banana over. THis shot here taken by my lil sis really shows the vastness of the whole scene and with me standing alone as the sun goes down, is just total serene.

At Pantai Tungku

I would like to offer prayer for the safe return of a 10 year old boy who was swept away by the sea and according to today's newspaper is feared drowned. Such Tragic is really something we don't want to happen.

Low Key

This is my personal fab. Love the Highlight he's leaning to, just what I wanted.

Playing With Low Key

You'll be seeing a lot of my bud here, who simply love to pose for any DSLR camera. Hence this time ask him to pose about as I play with low light and shadow.

There's a slight shadow behind him... wanted to give a ghostly sense as though someone else is there watching us.

Redefining Composition of Shadow

A shadow need not be in silhouette or against lighting. A significant Highlight that wraps the body can produce a sense of drama even! A shadow need not be stagnant... I want it to move!!! and express the moment of not only solitude or tranquil but also Joy and sexual appeal...

"Get Jiggin Wit It"
I love challenging my creativity and break the "relativity of photology" (this is my smart-ass moment) and dare for something new.

Getting Down With Shadow Part 1...more to come

I love doing Shadow, but here I want to emphasis not just the shadow, but capture a small amount of their facial feature thru highlight, giving the intense drama I wanted.
